  • Empathy, warmth and professionalism are Joanne’s  best qualities as a coach. Empathy is the quality I most valued in Joanne. The tone of her voice and her understanding encouragement made me want to open up to her (and consequently myself). I really wasn’t sure what to expect but Joanne made me feel safe talking to her and encouraged me to open up. I think this meant I explored areas I hadn’t intended to focus on with the added benefit that I let myself address areas that underpinned my weight problems without me initially realising that they were an issue.  ’m very grateful to Joanne for that. (Julie)

Joanne's best qualities are her ability to listen and then a) put a positive spin and encourage but also b) through her listening she took what I said, gave it back to me in a way that made me want to take action around it OR rest with it without anxiety. Her ability to make me think intentionally about so many areas of my life in a safe and non-threatening or judgmental space and not have anxiety about it was amazing. She also has an amazing way of  walking into a space exuding confidence and complete calm that turns the space into a positive one no matter how you felt before. (Danielle)
